Generate cover image with AI

If you are missing a good cover image, you can generate one with AI. Adding cover images to your findings makes them more visually appealing.

How to generate a cover image

A cover image can be generated for any finding/summary in your account:

  1. Open a finding/summary in full view.
  2. Click the pencil icon on top of the cover image.
  3. Select Generate with AI.

After about 8 seconds, a new cover image is generated. If you are not happy with the generated image, you can always try again. The generated image will be different every time.

Previous images can't be recovered

When you generate a new cover image, it always replaces the previous cover image. If you might want to keep the previous image, please make sure to save it on your computer first.

  1. Click the pencil icon on top of the cover image.
  2. Select Open cover.
  3. Right-click and select Save as... to save the cover image on your computer.

If you want to use an image you saved on your computer, you can then select the Upload new cover option to reupload it to FIBRES.

Where do the images come from

FIBRES uses NLP to understand what your finding/summary is about. It then feeds that information to DALLĀ·E, an AI system that can create realistic images and art from a description in natural language.

Why are there weird letters or words in my image?

Image generation is still in its early phases. AI systems like DALL-E still struggle with abstract topics that they may not have been trained with. In these cases, you may see gibberish in the image. If there is weird text in your image, you can always try generating again for a better result.
