Some titles on my radar are hidden. How to fix it?
If some of the finding titles on your radar are hidden, here are a few tips you can try.
Why are some of the titles hidden?
When you add a new finding to a radar, existing findings will move around to make room for the new finding.
The algorithm that takes care of the dynamic positioning is surprisingly complex, and difficult to get working perfectly in all conditions.
Especially if you have a lot of findings on your radar or your radar structure is complex, it's possible that some of the titles don't fit on the radar and are thus hidden.
When looking at a live radar, you always have the option to hover or click on titles to get them to show. However, hidden titles might be burdensome when exporting images of your radar.
How to prevent titles from being hidden
Shorten the titles
This is the easiest way to optimize your radar. Shorter titles fit on the radar better. Can you shorten the titles?
Use lower case in titles
For the same reason as above, it's best to use lower case in titles. UPPER CASE takes more space.
Filter the radar before exporting
Filter the radar and export the radar in several images.
Zoom the radar before exporting
Zoom to different parts and export the radar in several images.
Simplify the radar layout
The more time horizons and sectors you have on your radar, the less space our algorithm has for positioning your findings.
Split your trends on multiple radars
Radars work best as summary tools so it's best to keep the amount of findings on them reasonable.
