How to build a research plan

When refining your research plan, keep your radar's audience and goals in mind. Review and update the topics by confirming relevant keywords and removing any generic or off-topic items so the AI agents can deliver precise results.

Build & define the Research Plan

  • You can select specific regions for your scope of research in the advanced settings
  • Choose which finding types you want to generate, such as MegatrendsTrends, or Technologies

  • Use the "Get topic suggestions" tool to see Al-generated keywords based on your initial scope
  • Review the suggested topics (keywords) for the overall research and specific sectors. You can modify, delete and add new topics. Use short keywords rather than long sentences.

         Adding topics

    • Type a topic and press Enter or comma ( , ) to add it to the list.
    • To add multiple topics at once, separate them with commas  (e.g., electric vehicles, battery tech, charging infrastructure ) and press Enter.

      Editing topics

    • Double-click any existing topic chip to edit its text directly inline.

      Removing topics

    • Click the × (remove) button on any topic chip to delete it from the list.

  • Once topics are reviewed and approved, you can launch Foresight Agents to work by clicking Approve and start research.
  • If you aren’t ready to start, you can save your current setup as a draft and return to it at a more convenient time.

  • Please keep in mind that you can freely navigate and edit previous steps before approving the plan. However, once you click "Approve and start research," the plan is locked, and you cannot go back to the previous configuration steps for that project.
